Metallics can be a hard one to chip as they change colour as the light shifts around them, but I would try and stay away from other metallics as chipping tools. For the Red sections on them, I would also keep the grey-tones, refer to the Mechanicum Castellax above. Lastly, dusting on minotaurs is damn hard, and really doesn't work with any of the brown-sandy colours, so instead you have to go either a bone like colour or a grey tone.

I hope this helps you Polynikes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07904465965003296427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6366962561146992018.post-35772309432454239972014-06-04T12:16:05.895+10:002014-06-04T12:16:05.895+10:00Less is always more. Chipping is even harder to judge then dusting in my books, it can ruin a model fast, we have both seen pictures of Death Guard tanks which have little to no bone colouration left!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07904465965003296427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6366962561146992018.post-53313498270102598412014-06-04T00:53:38.556+10:002014-06-04T00:53:38.556+10:00Any tips on weathering Minotaurs space marines, br...Any tips on weathering Minotaurs space marines, bronze/gold. Having a bit of trouble coming up with a sponging colour(s). Dark colours are getting lost and metallics aren't very visible either.
Polynikeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08215554894438326139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6366962561146992018.post-52428116082915324812014-06-03T23:18:48.950+10:002014-06-03T23:18:48.950+10:00Another to article Macca. I think I'll pick up one of those little applicators and give it another shot on over of my Smurfs.

Ditto the chipping. The only other time of tried chipping an infantry fig I went to far with it which over sold the look. Less is definitely more. LWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04769460904008281915noreply@blogger.com
