If you guys have been following the progress of my Imperial Fists, you'll know that i love these guys. Imperial fist breachers are so good to play with on the table, and so much fun to paint and convert.
With my change over to 32mm bases I have kinda gone all out with the thematic bases, trying to depict the shattered walls and defences that these guys would be trudging through. So much so that i went back and reworked my first squad.
I spent a little extra effort modelling the shattered wall sections on some of the bases. These are simple cork pieces which get a little rendering during the painting process. The idea being that it really adds to the shattered urban feel (since almost all my games seem to be in that sort of terrain)
I'm super keen to move onto my third and final breacher squad but there are so many other paint projects grabbing my attention. The templars....my veteran tactical squad....and all of my support squads. Not to mention the artillery squadron.
Absolutely lovely! Really dig how those turned out, man!
ReplyDeleteCheers dude. I have been a little worried people would think them....too yellow with all the black and yellow variants of colour coming out for imperial fists.
DeleteVery nice work! The Breachers are very rare choice in our Russian methagame. Therefore particularly interesting to see them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Corvinvs. You are right in that they can be a very niche type of unit. They are brilliant for Zone Mortalis games, but fortunately for the Imperial Fists they also have a very strong use on the battlefield.
